Caribbean Beach

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is one of those places that instantly shifts you into vacation mode. With palm trees swaying over white‑sand beaches, colorful island villages, and hammocks lining the shores of Barefoot Bay, it’s got that breezy, toes‑in‑the‑sand vibe without ever leaving Walt Disney World. As a Moderate resort, it strikes a sweet spot between comfort and value, especially for beach lovers and anyone who wants quick access to the Disney Skyliner. Sitting in the EPCOT/Wide World of Sports area, it’s a relaxed home base that keeps you close to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and the entire Skyliner loop.

Rooms

Caribbean Beach is divided into several island‑themed “villages”: Aruba, Jamaica, Martinique, Barbados, Trinidad North, and Trinidad South. Each section has its own charm, quiet pool, and colorful architecture that feels straight out of the islands. Room types range from Standard View to Water or Pool View, plus Preferred rooms that put you closer to dining and transportation. Most rooms sleep up to four adults, and some include a fifth sleeper pull‑down bed, great for families who need just a little extra space. Recent renovations brought in updated flooring (goodbye carpet) and refreshed décor, including the popular mermaid‑themed rooms in Trinidad. It’s a comfortable, easygoing setup that fits everything from couples to larger families.

Colorful gondolas with cartoon characters travel along cable lines against a blue sky with clouds, above green trees and a lit streetlamp.

Transportation

Transportation is one of the biggest perks here. Caribbean Beach is the central hub of the Disney Skyliner, which means you can glide straight to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Pop Century, Art of Animation, and Disney’s Riviera Resort with minimal effort. It’s fast, scenic, and honestly just fun. Buses are still available for Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs, and the water parks. With the Skyliner right outside your door, getting around feels smoother and more convenient than most Moderate resorts.

Dining (Including Pool Bars & Lounges)

Dining at Caribbean Beach leans into casual island comfort. Centertown Market is the main quick‑service spot, offering bowls, burgers, wraps, salads, and a mix of Caribbean‑inspired dishes. It’s also where you’ll find mobile order options and plenty of grab‑and‑go choices. Over in Trinidad, Spyglass Grill serves up surprisingly great breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a relaxed, tucked‑away vibe, perfect if you’re staying in that section.

For table service, Sebastian’s Bistro is the star. It’s a family‑style meal with Caribbean flavors, fresh ingredients, and a bright, beachy atmosphere. Many guests consider it one of the best‑value table‑service meals on property.

Banana Cabana, the pool bar and lounge, is a fan favorite. It’s steps from the main pool and serves tropical cocktails, frozen drinks, and a small but tasty food menu. It’s the kind of place where you can grab a drink, sink into a chair, and just let the day drift by.

If you want even more dining variety, the Skyliner puts you within minutes of Riviera Resort’s Primo Piatto, Bar Riva, Le Petit Café, and the signature Topolino’s Terrace.

Pools

The main feature pool, Fuentes del Morro, is themed like a colonial Spanish fortress, complete with cannons, stone walls, and pirate‑style details. It’s a blast for families, especially with its two waterslides (one of them stretching 102 feet). Little ones get their own shipwreck‑themed splash area with mini slides, a crow’s nest, and a giant drenching barrel that dumps water every few minutes.

If you’re looking for something quieter, each village has its own leisure pool. These are perfect for relaxing, reading, or taking a peaceful dip away from the action.

Special Features & Highlights

Caribbean Beach has a surprising amount of recreation and activities tucked around Barefoot Bay. There’s a scenic jogging trail that loops around the water, perfect for a morning run or a sunset walk. Kids can enjoy playgrounds and an arcade, while the whole family can join in on Movies Under the Stars or the nightly campfire activities. Fishing excursions leave from Caribbean Cay Island, offering catch‑and‑release fun on the lake. You’ll also find volleyball courts, ping‑pong tables, and plenty of open spaces to unwind.

Shopping is centered at Calypso Trading Post, where you can pick up resort merchandise, snacks, and essentials. While there’s no full gym at Caribbean Beach, guests can access fitness options at nearby Riviera Resort via a short walk or Skyliner hop.
